2011 Symposia on QUING Research
A workshop jointly organised by UN Women and QUING was recently held at Bratislava (June 6). The meeting was dedicated to discussing gender equality and policy responses to violence against women, with a geographical focus on South-Eastern Europe.
In mid-April, a symposium at Lancaster dealt with gender-based violence policies in the EU. The meeting was organised in connexion with the final project reporting. Presentations were given by Magdalena Dabrowska, Zelia Gregoriou, Liz Kelly, Andrea Krizsán, Raluca Maria Popa , Lise Rolandsen Agustín, Sofia Strid, Mieke Verloo, and Sylvia Walby. Abstracts are available here.
As a result of a workshop on gender+ equality policies in the German-speaking countries, held at Vienna on 31 January, two papers are available on intimate citizenship in Germany and non-employment in Austria.
